Peter Wickwire and Sunnyvale team Second Place at 2010 Canadians

Congrat’s to Peter Wickwire and the Sunnyvale team for taking down second place at this past weekend’s National Championship in Halifax.  The top three boats all finished with 26 points and the tiebreaker went to Ian Dawson and team Yertle from BBYC, with John Whynacht and team Sticky Fingers from LYC placing third.  Tom Taylor and A-1 also represented our district in Halifax and finished a very strong 11th out of the 29 boats competing.

2011 Pan Am Games Qualifier

For those we haven’t already heard, the CYA has amended the qualifying process for the 2011 Pan Am Games to be the 2011 J/24 MidWinters.  So basically, the boat that goes south this winter and earns the country a spot will also qualify their team.  Details can be found on the CYA website at http://www.sailing.ca/images/uploads/2011_Pan_Am_Games_Qualification_-_Final.pdf.

Measurement

All racing boats should have a current measurement certificate.  If you do not have a measurement certificate, please contact us for more details on how to complete the measurement process and ensure your boat is compliant.  For new boat owners, there is a good chance the boat was previously measured and a valid certificate can be issued through the change in ownership process which may not require a full measurement.
