Day 3 - And the 2009 J/24 Canadian
Champion is........ Ted Bartelewski and the crew of Drivers Wanted!!! Congratulations to our new Canadian Champion! Click here for the full results The start of the first race has been delayed to wait for more wind coming from north. Immediately after the 1st start, RC hit 2 guns and moved more North to get some more stable wind.
It was a good decision, as a consistent breeze, from 8 to 12 knots came in, allowing for 2 races, as planned.
This allowed a fantastic Tie Breaker day between Drivers Wanted and Navtech.ca as well as many other boats throughout the rankings.
Ted Bartelewski and Drivers Wanted dominated that 2nd day, with a 1st place in Race 9 and a 2nd place in Race 8.
All racers can agree that the Canadian J/24 2009 Champion had to be the boat that was able to perform at the top level in all conditions, from 5 knots to 30 knots of wind.
With 3 races won, and all others on the podium, Ted and his crew are definitely that champion.
Race8: 1. A1 2. Drivers Wanted 3. Taz Race9: 1. Drivers Wanted 2. Navtech.ca 3. BayGull

Navtech.ca won the Western District Trophy for the top boat of the 1st day of racing.
